Northeastern State University Athletics

NORTHEASTERN STATE – A returning squad member . . . has yet to play at NSU . . . joined the program in spring 2012 . . . sat out the fall 2012 campaign . . . is projected to battle for a starting spot in the receiving corps in 2013 . . . played at Louisiana Tech University and attended classes at Southeastern Louisiana University before transferring to Northeastern State.
 
Junior (2012) – Did not compete in his first season at NSU due to NCAA transfer regulations.
 
Louisiana Tech University (2008-09) – Played 14 total games in two seasons at LTU . . . saw action in the first two games as a true freshman and was awarded a redshirt after sitting out the rest of the year due to injury . . . made four starts as a redshirt freshman and finished the year with 15 catches for 259 yards and three touchdowns . . . best game came against Idaho when he registered four receptions for 82 yards and two TDs.
 
High School – Lettered for coach Kevin Kelley at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock . . . as a senior, he had 105 receptions for 1,306 yards and 18 touchdowns . . . was named to the Associate Press' Super Team as a wide receiver following his senior year . . . also earned honors from the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette as a member of its All-Arkansas team and as the 5A Southeast's Outstanding Back . . . was a 2007-08 all-state selection . . . as a junior, he had 57 receptions, 1,200 receiving yards and 19 touchdowns . . . averaged 21.9 yards per catch . . . was ranked the No. 59 receiver in the nation and the No. 6 overall prospect in the state of Arkansas by Rivals.com . . . was rated as the No. 80 receiver in the nation and the No. 4 overall prospect in the state by Scout.com . . . lettered three years for the Pulaski Academy basketball team . . . named all-conference and all-state in basketball.
 
Personal – Majoring in general studies . . . son of Silas Williams and Cynthia Watts . . . born Dec. 13, 1988 . . . originally signed out of high school to play football at the University of Arkansas.
