Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the cancellation of spring championships, Northeastern State Athletics is highlighting its spring senior class with a spotlight series featuring Q&A's with the student-athletes and a video from the head coach.

Bryce has been a member of the baseball program for the last two seasons and has made 20 appearances out of the bullpen for NSU. In 2019, Bryce won two games for the RiverHawks and was named to the MIAA Honor Roll.

What has been your favorite moment as a student-athlete at Northeastern State?

  • I'd say being around my teammates and coaches. Nothing can beat being around your team especially in the locker room and on the field.

What has been your most meaningful experience outside of athletics?

  • My most meaningful experience would be not only just getting my degree but like I said spending time with my teammates on and off the field. Those are those memories that'll last a lifetime.

Who was/is your favorite professor at Northeastern State, and why?

  • Dr. Ozturk was my favorite by far. He was always energetic and very informative about the subject he was teaching. I loved every one of his classes.

Do you have plans for post-graduation yet? If so, what are they?

  • My original plan was to take a year off and then go into a PTA program but I changed my mind and have decided to come back next year to take my prerequisites for the OT program at NSU.

What advice would you give to younger athletes about their time at Northeastern State?

  • Enjoy every second of it and don't take anything for granted. The people around here begin to feel like a part of your family, whether that's on your team or in the classroom.

Is there anything you want to add?

  • I just want to thank Coach Hendrick for taking me in as a walk-on and giving me the opportunity to continue my baseball career and education here at NSU. I also want to thank my teammates for making my two years here the most memorable.
